Digital Resources-AMI installs new Tulsa Government Access Television Broadcast Channel – Tulsa, Oklahoma Tulsa, OK August 19, 2004 – Digital Resources-AMI (DRI), a leading reseller and systems integrator of professional broadcast and audiovisual equipment and solutions completes the installation of “TGOV”, Tulsa’s new government access channel that will broadcast on Cox Cable. “TGOV” will broadcast council meetings, discussion programs, planning commission proceedings and many other programs.
In working with the City of Tulsa, DRI-AMI provided integration design and the installation of this new digital broadcast system. Utilizing a proven digital automation system, the system now streamlines the capturing and branding of the channel and simplifies the automated functionality of the broadcast. Implementing a new automation system into an existing production facility maximizes the capability of the channel. TGOV now operates un-manned during off times allowing cost savings for the City of Tulsa.
This system captures content being recorded from various buildings and city meeting rooms onto MPEG servers. The servers are then controlled thru the automation interface that controls the on air playback of these events. This allows for simplifying the recording and playback of City Government information and allows the citizens of Tulsa to tune in for important information “Utilizing the existing production facility allows the City to maximize their resources”, said Tim Bock, President.
